Indigenous Supports
Allison Massé, has six years of experience working for an Indigenous found agency on Treaty Six Territory in Edmonton, A.B., and received cultural competency training through ALIGN Association and Community Services. The ALIGN training program provided Allison with the opportunity to increase understanding about indigenous history, residential schools, intergenerational trauma and current context, and to subsequently impact practice (e.g., how to be an ally, how to provide more culturally relevant support). Allison believes we’re all accountable to reconciliation and making the world a better place! She works from a place of compassion, deep empathy, and humility, including learnings from Indigenous ceremony, teachings, and ways of knowing. Sliding scale offered.
My learned understanding as an Indigenous advocate has shown me the depth of harm and injustice that Indigenous communities have faced. With a high degree of empathy and passion for justice I am here to work beside you through connection and humility.
